2024 Marathon Meetup

On June 27th, 2024, Team Tell Every Amazing Lady®, in preparation for the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon, gathered at the T.E.A.L.® Community Center, virtually and in-person. T.E.A.L.® staff educated them about the signs, symptoms and risk factors of ovarian cancer, T.E.A.L.®’s mission, and the resources we offer. The runners were also given the opportunity to discuss why they are running for T.E.A.L.®, and the impact that ovarian cancer has had on many of them. T.E.A.L.® Marathon Meetup 2023

On July 22nd, 2023, Tell Every Amazing Lady® staff hosted the annual Marathon Meetup for all runners who would be representing T.E.A.L.® in the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon on November 5th, 2023. This year an all women team, representing over 6 states across the country, will gather in NYC to raise awareness about ovarian cancer. This meeting marked the first time the runners and Tell Every Amazing Lady® staff gathered together virtually and discussed what it meant to run for Team Tell Every Amazing Lady®. T.E.A.L.® staff educated the team on the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer, and the significance of their choice to run with Tell Every Amazing Lady®.

T.E.A.L.® thanks News12 Brooklyn for helping spread our message and raise awareness of ovarian cancer by interviewing a runner on team Tell Every Amazing Lady® ahead of the 2022 TCS New York CIty Marathon. 

Runner Spencer, whose late mother Louisa co-founded Tell Every Amazing Lady® after her ovarian cancer diagnosis, ran for the foundation’s team in the iconic race on November 6, 2022, and spoke to News12 Brooklyn about his experience. Watch here.

Team Tell Every Amazing Lady® hosts meetup for runners in 2022 TCS New York City Marathon

Tell Every Amazing Lady® hosted a hybrid in-person and virtual option meetup for the runners on its 2022 TCS New York City Marathon team on July 16, 2022. The meetup served as a way for the runners to meet each other and learn more details about their role in the November 6th, 2022 race. This year’s team featured two ovarian cancer survivors, and a son who lost his mother to the disease. All runners are raising funds to combat ovarian cancer and spread awareness.

Tell Every Amazing Lady® is honored to be a charity partner in the 2022 TCS New York City Marathon. Tell Every Amazing Lady® has spots for five runners to each raise $3,000 for Team Tell Every Amazing Lady®. Run with more than 33,000 participants on this iconic 26.2-mile course throughout the five boroughs of New York City.

The November 6th event will begin on Staten Island, where runners will then make their way over the Verrazano Bridge into Brooklyn, followed by Queens and the Bronx, and then finish in the world-renowned Central Park in Manhattan. Complete with spectacular skylines and an unparalleled view of NYC’s most popular landmarks, this is one race you definitely don’t want to miss.

If you already have a bib for the marathon, you can still apply to run with us by filling out the form here or by contacting us at contact@tealwalk.org. Those joining our team who have a bib will qualify for the same perks as our official team members, and will be asked to raise $1,500.

Team Member Requirements:

Minimum fundraising of $3,000 on T.E.A.L.®’s behalf is required if you are an official team member with one of our bibs, and is due by October 1st, 2022.

If you already have a bib, a minimum fundraising of $1,500 on T.E.A.L.®’s behalf is due by October 1st, 2022.

Team members should be prepared to have a fundraising plan to meet their goal by deadline. To ensure runners meet their October 1st goal, they will be required to meet these fundraising checkpoints:

  • $1,000 by August 6th
  • $2,000 by September 3rd
  • $3,000 by October 1st

Unofficial runners will need to raise:

  • $1,000 by August 6th
  • $1,500 by October 1st

T.E.A.L.® attends 2020 TCS New York City Marathon Charity Partner Forum

T.E.A.L.® attended the 2020 TCS New York City Marathon Charity Partner Forum on February 5th at the Harmonie Club in Midtown, Manhattan. 

The event is a way for the official charities to learn about the Charity Partner program, meet other charities, and hear information about the upcoming season. This is team Tell Every Amazing Lady®’s second year participating. T.E.A.L.® attends 2019 TCS New York City Marathon Charity Partner Breakfast

T.E.A.L.® CEO and Co-Founder Pamela Esposito-Amery attended the 2019 TCS New York City Marathon Charity Partner Breakfast on November 4th at Tavern on the Green in Manhattan. 

The breakfast is a way for the charities to celebrate a successful marathon season and hear information about the upcoming season. 

The marathon village and medal engraving station for participating runners were also nearby.

Team Tell Every Amazing Lady® makes TCS New York City Marathon debut

Team Tell Every Amazing Lady® made its debut in the TCS New York City Marathon on November 3rd. Five runners representing T.E.A.L.® hit the streets to run the iconic 26.2 mile-long race, helping to raise awareness about T.E.A.L.® and ovarian cancer. Each runner had a unique story of how ovarian cancer has impacted their lives, with some losing family members to the disease. T.E.A.L.® staff members were in Bay Ridge to cheer the athletes on.

WABC-TV Channel 7 Eyewitness News features team Tell Every Amazing Lady® in marathon coverage

WABC-TV Channel 7 Eyewitness News aired a segment on October 30th previewing team Tell Every Amazing Lady® in the 2019 TCS New York City Marathon. The piece featured an interview with T.E.A.L.® CEO and Co-Founder Pamela Esposito-Amery, as well as team members Evan Smith and Grace Baecher, who were interviewed at the 11th Annual Brooklyn T.E.A.L.® Walk/Run on September 7th, when they competed in the 5K. 

This year is the foundation’s first year having a team in the iconic road race.

Tell Every Amazing Lady® 2019 TCS NYC Marathon runners meet up

T.E.A.L.® hosted a meet up for its Tell Every Amazing Lady® TCS NYC Marathon charity team on June 22. Our full team of six got to meet each other that day either over the phone, via Skype, or in person. Several runners met at the T.E.A.L.®  Community Center before going for a run in Prospect Park with running Coach Kai. They then returned for some running tips and education on ovarian cancer as well as information about T.E.A.L.® and the marathon.
