10th Annual Savannah T.E.A.L.® Walk™

On September 30th, 2023, T.E.A.L.® organized the 10th Annual Savannah T.E.A.L.® Walk™ to honor those impacted by ovarian cancer and spread awareness regarding the disease. For the past 10 years T.E.A.L.® has organized a walk in Savannah, Georgia to celebrate the courage of ovarian cancer survivors and the strength of the families who have been touched by the disease, raise awareness to the public, and to raise money for research. This year’s walk was especially important not only because it was T.E.A.L.® ‘s 10-year anniversary in Savannah, but because it marked the first walk T.E.A.L.® held in person since 2019 due to the pandemic. We are deeply grateful to those who supported this year’s walk, such as Girl Scout Troop 30284, Delta Omega Chapter of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity Inc, Grande Cosmetics, Feminade, Walgreens, Staybridge Suites Hotel, Preferred Pharmacy, Binya, and Dick’s Broadcasting without whom this event could not have been as successful as it was. T.E.A.L.® would also like to thank Rachel Davis, Victoria Jones, Mollie Andrade, and Dr. Stephen McCall who helped plan, organize, and put on this event. Click here to view the photos taken at the walk.

Devoted T.E.A.L.® Volunteer spreads awareness across the U.S.

Former Volunteer of the Month and friend of Tell Every Amazing Lady® Anthony traveled by rail across the United States throughout August and September 2021. During his travels, Anthony spread awareness about T.E.A.L.® by sporting our branded baseball cap and polo shirt. At times, Anthony was able to speak about the foundation to those he met on the trip.

Starting in New York, Anthony and his nephew traveled south and to the west via train. The two of them stopped in many locations along the way, with particular focus on areas of historical and railfan significance. Notable highlights include Ft. Pulaski in Savannah, Georgia, the National Transportation Museum in St. Louis, Missouri, the National WWI Museum and Memorial in Kansas City, Missouri, and Buffalo Bill Cody’s Ranch in North Platte, Nebraska. Though the trip was amazing, Anthony can’t wait to get back on the rails and is already plotting his next adventure!

We’re incredibly grateful to Anthony for his long-standing volunteerism and determination to spread awareness about ovarian cancer. The more people that learn the signs and symptoms of this deadly disease, the more lives that could be saved. If you’ve been inspired by Anthony’s story, visit the T.E.A.L.® Shop today and begin spreading awareness – your way. Tag us on social media with #TellEveryAmazingLady!

T.E.A.L.® Funds Ovarian Cancer Institute Research Study located in the home state of the Savannah T.E.A.L.® Walks!

T.E.A.L.® is proud to announce the funding of Ovarian Cancer Institute’s Validation of 100% Early Diagnostic Test. The Ovarian Cancer Institute is on it’s way to validating an accurate early stage diagnostic test and T.E.A.L.® is proud to be a funder of this crucial test. Early diagnosis of ovarian cancer results in a 92% chance of surviving longer than 5 years after diagnosis and unfortunately less than 15% of ovarian cancer cases are diagnosed in the early stages. We have hope that an early diagnostic test that is given at a women’s annual check up will one day help save lives!  The Ovarian Cancer Institute is located in Georgia just a few hours north of Savannah, which is home to our Savannah T.E.A.L.® Walks! We could not have funded this crucial research study without our amazing supporters, especially those at the 5th Annual Savannah T.E.A.L.® Walk who raised $24,449.73!  Since we have such amazing supporters in the area, the Ovarian Cancer Institute is offering tours of the lab on Georgia Tech’s campus on Monday-Thursday. To coordinate availability please contact Kathryn Harper at kharper@ovariancancerinstitute.org or 404-300-2997.

TOYOTA loves T.E.A.L.®

T.E.A.L.® partnered with Toyota for the 3rd Annual Savannah T.E.A.L.® Walk in 2016. Through a customized sponsorship opportunity, Toyota created a co-branded campaign to help T.E.A.L.® spread awareness while supporting participants of the walk.

For the T.E.A.L.® Toyota Roadtrip, 5 individuals including survivors, organizers and participants as well as co-founder, Pamela Esposito-Amery were able to drive five Toyota Rav4’s decorated with custom co-branded T.E.A.L.® logos into Savannah from three different states including Florida, North Carolina, and Georgia.

For the accomplishment of reaching the finish line, Toyota brought in tents and caterers for the T.E.A.L.® Toyota Tailgate Celebration, which consisted of a southern style brunch and entertainment including an appearance from Sonny Digital’s manager Rico Brooks. Regional Director of Toyota, Michael Esposito was also there to present a check to T.E.A.L.® to support Ovarian Cancer research and awareness programs. Toyota also supported the raffle and T.E.A.L.® Survivor Ceremony with prizes and awards.

To help promote the 3rd Annual Savannah T.E.A.L.® Walk, Toyota created the co-branded logo and hashtag #ToyotaLovesTeal as well as co-branded swag items and a step & repeat photo booth. The campaign included social media influencers who helped further spread the message. This amazing collaboration also resulted in an official Toyota Loves T.E.A.L.® promotional video. Check it out here.
